Cancelling 9AM CEO takes about a minute. No retention call, no winback email asking why you're leaving, no friction. Here's exactly what happens.

Cancel in one click

Sign in to your dashboard, open Settings, hit Cancel subscription. That's it. The button is exactly where you'd expect it.

When cancellation takes effect

By default, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to all features until then, and we don't auto-renew after that.

If you'd rather have an immediate cut-off — and forgo the remaining days — email support@9amceo.com and we'll switch you off on request.

What happens to your data

Per the DPDPA and our Privacy Policy:

  • Your account stays accessible in read-only mode for 7 days after cancellation, so you can download any briefs you want to keep.
  • After day 7, brief delivery stops permanently. Your account profile, brief history, and Slack workspace connection are flagged for deletion.
  • Within 48 hours of the deletion flag, our scheduled cleanup job permanently purges:
    • Your user profile and preferences
    • Every brief we've stored for you
    • Per-channel signals and sentiment data
    • Alert rules (Growth plan)
    • Your encrypted Slack bot token
    • The Slack workspace connection record
  • Audit logs in Google Cloud Logging are kept for the legal minimum (typically 400 days) and then auto-rotated.

Re-subscribing later

You're welcome to come back. Because we don't retain your data, re-subscribing is a fresh sign-up — Slack OAuth flow, channel selection, and a reset 7-day trial (unless your previous trial was used in the same calendar year).

What we won't do

  • Make you call to cancel.
  • Send a "we noticed you cancelled — here's 50% off!" email.
  • Sell your information to anyone — including brief-tools we might consider competitors.
  • Bill you for any period after your stated cancellation date.

Refunds on cancellation

See our Refund Policy for whether your cancellation qualifies for a refund. The short version: full refund in the first 14 days, SLA credits if we missed our uptime target that month, otherwise no refund but no future billing either.
